Synopsis

The chapter begins with the Deputy Consul questioning a captive about Baron Gambino's power increase. Meanwhile, he implements severe punishments for illegal slave traders and corrupt nobles, seizing their assets. These actions drastically reduce crime and unemployment, and increase tax revenue in the Underdog City, leading to widespread respect for the Deputy Consul. We also see the Deputy Consul speaking in a barbarian language he learned in the past, and using an A-ranked monster corpse to fuel a monstrous companion.
