Synopsis

The chapter opens with a comparison of the Morg and Baskerville envoy forces, with the Morgs taking their efforts very seriously. Upon reaching the Morg border, the Baskerville envoy is stopped by female guards who refuse them entry, escalating into a tense standoff. The narrative then shifts to the protagonist's accomplishments as the Deputy Consul and his familial relationships are further revealed. He is then sent to the academy, a place for the empires elite, with the pretense of a territory inspection.
