Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist regretting not eliminating a powerful enemy earlier and grappling with the consequences of a city-wide poisonous smoke attack. The team struggles with hidden enemies, leading to internal conflict regarding the best course of action. Eventually, one character decides to act alone and investigate, which results in a trap being sprung, incapacitating him and revealing an enemy who knows the protagonist's deity. The chapter ends on a cliffhanger as the main character is seemingly defeated and the enemy awaits the arrival of his allies.
