Synopsis

The chapter establishes that demons, unlike gods, are interested in power and control over the world. The demons, particularly Neviroth, seek to gain power through human suffering. The protagonist attacks the Dark Sky Clan, which is revealed to be working with Neviroth, and rescues kidnapped children who were promised to become 'players'. He identifies the seventh floor as the location of the manager and is tasked to eliminate a man in black by the leader.
