The chapter opens with the royal palace preparing for Joshua's arrival while expressing agitation for his and his father's tardiness. A black dragon appears, ridden by Joshua, causing chaos. Meanwhile, Icarus receives an imperial edict demanding their presence at the palace in five days and it is revealed that the palace already knows she is a woman. Icarus then strikes a deal with Axuler for help while revealing their knowledge of primordial stones.
The chapter sees the return of Joshua, revealed to be riding a black dragon, amidst rising tensions at the palace. An edict summons him and others back to the capital immediately, while he seems to be concluding his personal matters.
