Synopsis

The chapter opens with the passing of King Anthony, placing the responsibility of Thran's independence on his successor. Joshua, determined to achieve this, prepares to leave the academy to utilize the primordial stone magma and also find something important in the Imperial Palace. However, he's confronted by Jack Steropes, a member of the Magic Tower, who seeks to reclaim the artifact 'Bronto' that Joshua had acquired. Joshua then reveals that he absorbed Bronto, leading to a fierce battle with Jack that ends with Joshua mentally breaking Jack by using his spear's abilities.
