Synopsis

The protagonist is caught between conflicting loyalties as accepting a task will anger the Monarch, while refusing will anger Minerva. Meanwhile, their workplace is in disarray due to an unexpected inspection and the discovery of a dead Jigwi, leading to frantic efforts to cover up illegal activities. The protagonist is then given a quest by a powerful divine being that involves destroying the illusion pearl production facility and is promised a reward based on their results. This quest indicates a major escalation in the protagonist's conflict and suggests a potential acquisition of a new power.
