Synopsis

The chapter opens with preparations for a potential attack at a canyon, while Ian, the magician, has returned to the Lord's castle, severely injured and depleted of mana and stamina. It is revealed that he retrieved a staff from the Great Plains which was used by the Shaman King, who practiced black magic and illusionary magic. Now, this staff is imbued with these spells, and seems to be cursed causing monsters to attack the staff's current owner. The staff, though dangerous, is still in their possession.
