Synopsis

The chapter opens with the King expressing distrust towards the Ivory Tower due to missing personnel and removes some of their authority. He then recognizes Ian Phage for protecting the empire from spies, bestowing upon him a legendary robe that once belonged to a powerful ancestor. Prince Ragnar later attempts to schedule a luncheon with Ian but is rejected, leading to Ian's internal monologue declaring his intent to oppose the prince, suggesting a future conflict.
