Synopsis

Following the defeat of Aldean, the surrounding forces quickly disperse, and the Finance Council sees a new investment. Despite the fact that Aldean was a demon god worshipper, those previously investigating the incident send gifts rather than questions. The chapter then focuses on the preparations for the Ice Dragon Raid, including the introduction of Aederius, a disciple of the Sword Saint. Finally, a bit of Aederius's internal monologue reveals his own plan contrary to his master's warnings.
