Synopsis

The chapter introduces a tradition called the Stronghold Entrance Ceremony (or Escort Entrance Ceremony) where newbies from opposing factions duel. The protagonist's friend is chosen as the challenger, but he realizes it's a trap set by a rival. Instead of his friend participating, the protagonist steps in, demanding to choose his own opponent. He further surprises everyone by asking to trade his regular sword for a broadsword, displaying confidence and hinting at prior experience.
