Synopsis

A rival house unexpectedly declares war on the protagonist's family, the McLains, catching them off guard. The family is further demoralized by rumors that their eldest son has fled, forcing the second son to step up. The protagonist, possessing knowledge from a past life, realizes the war has started much sooner than expected and must adapt his plans. The chapter ends with the McLains preparing to defend themselves while facing a significantly larger opposing force.
