The chapter opens with a character thinking about attacking someone before they use a skill, suggesting an impending conflict. It then shifts to a different scene where someone is being yelled at about roof repairs and subsequently decides to live as they please. Later, this character regrets not visiting someone. The last few pages introduce a concept of a final stage and allude to a meeting not being a coincidence, creating a sense of greater significance.
