Synopsis

The chapter opens with the arrival of the Slick family's Archmage, whose ostentatious entrance causes a stir and disrespects the traditional order of the banquet. A hunting tournament is supposed to begin, but the Archmage's actions and the delayed arrival of another party prompt adjustments. Elsewhere, characters are traveling to the capital, facing obstacles like a destroyed bridge while discussing personal matters and encountering familiar faces. Finally, it appears the tournament will begin despite the disruptions.
