Airen makes a triumphant return to his home, greeted warmly by his family and friends. Meanwhile, Vulcanus is revealed to be in a state of despair, as his masterpiece, the tenth numbering sword, is deemed inferior to the sword Airen wields. Airen is then confronted by Vulcanus and shown the sword, which is deemed unimpressive, further exacerbating Vulcanus's crisis of self-worth.
Airen returns home and is welcomed by his family, while Vulcanus, a swordsmith, is distraught over his own creation being overshadowed by Airen's 'mystical sword'.
