Synopsis

Hes has betrayed his family and sided with Randell, which causes a political rift and much consternation among his former allies. Elsewhere, a character prepares to send a letter to an imprisoned count while also making arrangements to help his wife and using a carrier pigeon to deliver information. The chapter ends with the character confronting an intruder who he realizes is there to kill him, and a short battle ensues.
