Synopsis

Prince Callian, recovering from being poisoned, confronts the person who delivered it, who expresses guilt for ignoring his troubles and vows to protect him now. Another character, seemingly a brother, leaves, dealing with a deteriorating health condition and a sense of guilt, as he chose to depart before his coming-of-age ceremony. The chapter ends with the reappearance of the main character who was forced out of his room after his brother's departure and is seemingly confronted with the Prince again.
