Synopsis

Callian discovers he was poisoned before being possessed, and the poison is suspected to be in his daily tea. He decides to take both the poison and antidote, intending to expose the perpetrator. This is coupled with a plan to leave the palace that evening. Meanwhile, Prince Planche learns that Callian has acquired Ellon Manasil, a powerful mage, as a mentor, which causes concern for his own political standing. The chapter ends with Callian visibly bleeding and the others around him surprised.
