Synopsis

The chapter opens with Marquis Tatian's unexpected death, which triggers political unrest as different factions observe the situation. The Marquis's son, Leo, having completed a mission for a thug family, is approached by a noble named Benard, seemingly to gauge Leo and his sister, Lena. Benard is surprised by their mannerisms, as Lena appears unfamiliar with etiquette, and Leo is skilled in swordsmanship. Benard contemplates adopting Lena to marry into the royal family and thus solidifying his political position.
