Synopsis

The chapter begins with the protagonist struggling to process information given by the dying elder, who speaks of qualifications, penalties, and a story beyond the tower. The elder sacrifices himself, asking the protagonist to save Minsoo, leading to the protagonist absorbing a fragment of the elder's power through "cannibalism". The chapter then reveals a ceremony being conducted to open passages for gods to come, while Lou hints at the existence of countless other worlds and the importance of the qualifications. Finally, the ceremony appears to be reaching its climax, with the summoning of gods imminent.
