Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist taunting Lucifer, now calling himself Lou, for failing to scratch him with a large attack. He learns from his companion that the shield isn't Lucifer's original ability but borrowed from the rulers of the Tower. He decides he must destroy the shield. Then, a messenger relays Lou's message that everyone will be annihilated and the protagonist's family will be devoured, which seems to trigger something within him related to a past trial involving death.
