Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist facing overwhelming odds as gates fall and monsters pour in. He grapples with the game's mechanics that emphasize luck but acknowledges his own skill. A powerful Dark Disciple appears, an anomaly for the lower floors, and the dead are being resurrected into attacking corpses. The party is forced to divide their efforts, with some focusing on closing gates and protecting the goddess statue, while the protagonist goes off to deal with the Dark Disciple.
