Synopsis

The chapter opens with the group strategizing to destroy the altar to prevent the summoning ritual, while an Evangelist who is identified as a high-ranking member, appears and gloats that the ritual was successful. The ritual is revealed to be a process of using the lives of the sacrifices as bait to lure out an extradimensional monster, meaning there is still a window of opportunity before the monster arrives. The group then utilizes a compound sacred arts technique to combat the heretical arts, preparing for the impending arrival of the monster.
