Synopsis

The chapter opens with the characters reviewing their successful, albeit risky, attack on the enemy, praising Karen's abilities. They soon realize that the enemy lizard, despite losing a wing, is rapidly gathering primitive magic and adapting its attacks to the narrow gorge, taking advantage of the terrain's high mana concentration. They recognize the need to exploit their temporary advantage within the gorge and defeat the lizard quickly before it fully regenerates and its magic becomes overwhelming. They understand fighting it in open terrain would be much harder.
