Synopsis

The chapter centers around a tense negotiation where the Orthodox Murim Alliance tries to prevent the Demonic Cult Leader from taking the Namgoong Patriarch, fearing the misuse of his powerful technique. The Alliance seemingly succeeds in convincing the Cult Leader, who accepts their conditions. However, the Cult Leader reveals his deception by killing the Patriarch, highlighting that he was never after the technique, and was only acting within the established rules they set out, while also flexing his might and demonstrating his control over the situation, resulting in the alliance being now under his power.
