Synopsis

The chapter opens with a character investigating an inn late at night, noting signs of recent activity and a search for something. They discover the target of the search seems to be the orange jade tablet needed to meet the Divine Physician. A hidden confrontation occurs where the inn owner reveals that they are far more powerful than they appear, and seem aware of the character's presence and investigation. The owner uses 'empty husks' but seems unphased by their defeat.
