Synopsis

The chapter opens with the acting Heavenly Demon issuing a command to subdue and kill members of the Vengeance Sword Sect and Guardian Pavilion. This reveals the sect leaders are complicit in his plan, attacking their own people. A leader from a subjugated sect laments the failure of their long-term plan while also triggering a hidden contingency. Meanwhile, the imprisoned Right and Left Guardians and other allies sense something is amiss and prepare to act despite their constraints.
