Synopsis

The chapter opens with a tense standoff where a student refuses to move from a dangerous area to protect someone inside. The focus then shifts to the squad leader, Kim Il-Jung, who's initially seen as weak and cowardly and runs away, prompting insults of "garbage." Later, he has a disturbing shift in personality, becoming violent and unpredictable, and chases his squad mates while exhibiting psychotic behavior. The chapter ends with a cliffhanger as the leader grapples with one of his men over an edge.
