Synopsis

The protagonist, who had been running from pursuers, decides to turn back, motivated by the need to save someone. He is confronted by his pursuers, who mock him for running and claim he is weakened by a previous attack. Despite being depleted of mana, the protagonist displays confidence and begins a fight against his pursuers, who are surprised by his ability to use mana-infused sword strikes. The chapter ends with the protagonist resolving to analyze the enemy's mana usage to gain an advantage.
