Synopsis

The chapter opens with an abrupt fracture appearing, an anomaly that didn't happen in the protagonist's previous timeline, which he suspects is due to his past actions causing a "butterfly effect". Simultaneously, we're given backstory on the world's history with fractures and hunters. The protagonist also learns that his ex-wife, Eunhye, is considering signing a hunter contract, and he intervenes, feeling guilty about how guilds exploit hunters and how his past actions led to Eunhye's death. He further reflects on his lack of connection with his daughter, Seol-ah, and how he now aims to spend more time with her.
