Synopsis

The chapter opens with a focus on a character who was seemingly killed by multiple attacks to vital areas, yet they are somehow alive and have embraced a monstrous transformation. Another character reveals they've ordered a full-scale monster attack on the city, believing it will turn the public against the person the heroes seek to protect, while also intending to provoke a reaction from the monstrous foe. The chapter concludes with a character touching the curse to gain enough power to kill the monster, and to prevent it from harming anyone, and accepting their fate of becoming a monster themselves in the process.
