Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist, seemingly recovering from a near-death experience, confronting an elder who had attacked him. The protagonist shows no respect for the dying elder and then encounters another challenger, the lesser family head, who defends his actions by stating he's protecting his family. Despite declaring the fight pointless, the challenger expresses his intent to continue due to his past failures. The challenger then tries to emulate a previous foe by using a similar method that should be dangerous to the protagonist.
