Synopsis

The chapter begins with the group entering a new level of the dungeon and immediately discovering a significant deposit of pure mithril ore. This discovery triggers an unusual and sudden surge of greed and selfishness amongst the normally cooperative group members. They express desires to upgrade their gear with mithril, act possessively over the ore, and even regret past acts of generosity. The captain acknowledges the strange behavior, attributing it to a black fog, and confidently asserts his ability to guide them through the dungeon despite this new threat, even to the deepest levels if needed.
