Synopsis

The chapter opens with a noble demanding a guild find the money used to hire assassins who targeted him. He explains that the assassins were introduced via the Alaves Guild, a large guild known for mercenary work within the kingdom. He bypasses the standard hiring process, making clear he is not requesting their services but rather making a demand under threat, and gives them one week to retrieve the exact funds, or he will destroy the guild. The guild members are shocked, realizing the impossible situation they have been forced into.
