Synopsis

The protagonist reflects on their peaceful days before the academy starts, enjoying city life and shopping with a companion. However, they are also drawn to a persistent, but struggling swordsman, who they see training relentlessly. Despite his apparent lack of talent, the swordsman's extreme dedication and hatred are driving him, but the protagonist believes it's causing him to regress. The chapter ends with the protagonist finally understanding the swordsman's desire, to be the greatest swordsman, and seemingly deciding to intervene.
