Synopsis

A dragon, revealed to be a key figure from the past named Valactus Machiavelli, appears and claims to be present to dispose of the protagonist's daughter. The dragon also reveals his past interactions with the protagonist's family and his perceived mercy towards other races, including humans. The protagonist counters with his own interpretation of past events and challenges the dragon's arrogance before a display of power that leaves the dragon humiliated and enraged, implying the protagonist's immense strength. The protagonist also reveals to Charlotte that her uncle is responsible for her family's suffering.
