Synopsis

The protagonist, a young noble, is being escorted to the Rocky Mountain by a mercenary group led by a man calling himself "John Doe", who is using an obvious alias and seems to possess hidden power. During the journey, the protagonist seems to recognize that John Doe is concealing his true strength. Later, during a brief stop, the protagonist reveals to a merchant that he is from the Valantier house, and that the house is destined to fall soon. The chapter ends as they are leaving, heading towards their next destination.
