Synopsis

The chapter focuses on the aftermath of an attack on the protagonist's master, and the subsequent investigation into the death of White Bone. The protagonist discovers a strange entity called "Desire" that devours souls and learns that White Bone made a contract with it. By accessing White Bone's memories, he finds images of the Cult leader and learns about a group called the Society, whose leader has unique inverted yin-yang eyes, but also finds that he himself has been marked by Desire.
