Synopsis

The Lesser Sects leader proposes a mutually beneficial contract instead of using the protagonist as bait, providing a cure for his poison, a defensive technique, and warning of an incoming powerful foe, "The Prodigious Great Bird", who is searching for him. He asks one favor in return: to spare a person's life if asked. The chapter ends with the protagonist preparing for this impending battle while his comrade is captured.
