Synopsis

After surviving a five-colored centipede bite, the protagonist is captured by Mang Ryo who intends to use him as an experimental subject. Mang Ryo forces a 'memory soup' laced with pufferfish poison on the protagonist to keep him conscious and subjects him to various deadly poisons for months, documenting the effects. It is revealed the protagonist's body is highly resistant due to an 'internal fire cleansing pill' which petrified his qi streams, preventing the poison from spreading. Mang Ryo finds the protagonist a fascinating specimen but still intends to use him until the end.
