Synopsis

The chapter opens with soldiers, including Dmitri and Simon, preparing to confront a dragon, with some hyped up on battle stimulants while the squad leader refuses, leading to tension. The soldiers' perception of the dragon's threat seems to change as it transforms into an "iron fortress." The squad leader who doesn't use battle stimulants is questioned by another soldier about their ability to maintain composure and sleep. A separate disturbance at a bar caused by a psyker is handled lightly, leaving the squad leader reflecting on the incident and the psyker's message.
