The chapter opens with Kuro and Lee Han joining Squad 1 at Level 2, where they learn about the different training types, specifically the use of firearms against minions and mock battles which are based on capture the flag scenarios. Lee Han is then taken for an experimental procedure where they attempt to infuse him with dragon psychic energy to enhance his own psychic abilities, but it is discovered he has an unusual resistance to it, prompting a change in the process to focus on his physical development instead. Sergeant Red asserts Lee Han's determination and his ability to overcome challenges.
Kuro and Lee Han are assigned to Squad 1 and introduced to the training regimen of Level 2, which includes firearms, airborne, and mock battle training. Lee Han undergoes a procedure to enhance his psychic abilities, but it is revealed he resists them, and the procedure is adjusted to focus on his physical development.
