The chapter opens with the Lodea Kingdom preparing for battle against the Kabalice Empire, with the protagonist, Kang Yoosung, taking over command from the inept patriarch of the Dwighang Mazqui family. The protagonist is aware of the Sword Lord's presence in the game as well as his own status as a 'Godlike Player'. He then enters the War Tower, choosing to fight for the under dog Lodea Kingdom. The chapter ends with the protagonist entering the tower and being hailed as a savior by the Lodean soldiers.
The protagonist, Kang Yoosung, takes command of the Lodea Kingdom's defense and enters a War Tower challenge against the Sword Lord, with Monarchs placing bets on their success.
