Synopsis

The chapter begins with a flashback where Shirone, working as a butler, is challenged by another noble but refuses to fight back, instead offering to be hit three times. The story then transitions to Shirone's current library work, revealing that he's learning about magic and history and dealing with the nobles' careless attitude towards books. He also witnesses the youngest noble, Rian, getting into trouble with his swordmaster before facing Rian and learning about the boy's anger, a rage which he channels through a challenge.
