Synopsis

The chapter depicts a brutal fight against a new type of undead parasite requiring a heart extraction for permanent defeat. Amidst the battle, characters discuss Baek Ho-Min's combat skills and how they are mirroring Kang Ha-Jin's techniques. The chapter then shifts to a flashback, revealing the alchemist, Baek Ho-Min's, past and his previous frustrations regarding the importance of his profession, leading to his immense accomplishments of eradicating parasites in lower levels of the tower. The chapter ends with the discovery of a massacre and the introduction of a traumatized apprentice who provides a grim update of the expedition's state.
