Synopsis

The chapter opens with the Demon King's internal monologue about how he accidentally let slip his comparison of demons to corpses. He is then confronted by the leader of the fairy race who reveals the world is anticipating a new hero, and that this hero will be far more threatening than the last, before giving him the infected world tree seed. He then encounters the leader of the mermaids who foresees the same new hero. The Demon King admits that the world favors the hero and questions why everyone is acting so favorably toward him, especially since his attempts to heal the infected seed have failed.
