Synopsis

The chapter opens with Cruel and Deon negotiating a deadly bet where they are to kill each other. Cruel's motivation stems from past trauma and the neglect of Deon. Deon grapples with his fragile health, while also suspecting Cruel is deliberately trying to manipulate him. Flashbacks reveal the origin of Deon's trauma which stems from family neglect and led to an ongoing distrust.
