Synopsis

The chapter opens with the Emperor easily dispatching a group of assassins, revealing his disdain for their lack of understanding of his true strength. Simultaneously, the Revolutionary Army faces setbacks, having lost a significant portion of their forces. It is discovered that their actions might be influenced by the Duke, who seems to want the Emperor challenged but not defeated by them. Finally, the chapter focuses on the motivations of Daniel, the Revolutionary Army's leader, whose desire for a world without social hierarchy is rooted in his mother's past struggles and ideals, though he carries the burden of the lives lost in the revolution.
