Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist being offered a position in an association, promising tax exemptions and a guaranteed salary even without work. He meets with Vega, a powerful figure who recognizes him as a regressor. They discuss a looming threat known as the "Heavenly Demon," and the protagonist reveals he doesn't know much about it. After a brief confrontation where the protagonist unleashes his skills, he accepts an offer to be an association member with a salary while remaining a free mercenary.
