Synopsis

The chapter opens with a chaotic scene of an A-class Thorned Bull wreaking havoc, before a B-class hunter, the Lightning Empress, mysteriously defeats it with an unknown power. Simultaneously, the protagonist, frustrated by their consistently low G-class hunter ranking, is reminded of a past trauma, the mysterious voice they heard during the battle, and the need to hide their identity as the Lightning Empress. The chapter also provides background on the hunter system and a dire situation facing humanity due to demonic beast attacks.
